Trick-or-Treat

We had a wonderful unexpected visit from our friends the Yadavs this year over Halloween. Hurricane Sandy destroyed so many homes, and although our neighborhood was fortunate not to have damage to our homes, the Yadavs lost power for an extended time. My friend Caitlin brought her 6-week old baby girl, Anika, her 2-year old daughter, Naomi, and herself up to our home from Larchmont, NY, for the week. Vik joined us later on for the weekend. Lucas and Naomi had a blast hanging out, and Caitlin and I took advantage of the time to catch up between feedings, diaper changes, and arguments over Mr. Potato Head. Photos of Halloween night. Naomi and Lucas were both so excited to Trick-or-Treat. They practiced their lines and got ready together. The little pirate and little astronaut did so well! Lila was a darling ladybug, but she wasn't particularly pleased about the photo shoot, her hood, or the chilly night. She fell asleep about four houses in to the festivities!
TREATS: Lucas and Naomi both chose a tootsie pop as their one sample candy for the night. They sat on stools facing each other and had a lollipop contest, staring into each other's eyes and silently eating away at their treat. It was sweet and funny, and they had no idea we were all taking pictures of them!
